It all began years ago while we were vacationing in Rome, when I spotted a caricature artist in Piazza Navona. He drew my family, and I instantly fell in love with this little slice of the creative arts. I was captivated by the experience and the magic of live caricature drawing—something you can only truly grasp by experiencing it yourself.

What I love about drawing is that, while you're at it, it's as if the entire world around you ceases to exist. There is only you, the sheet of paper, and your pencil—perhaps some soft classical music playing in the background—though, in truth, you don't even hear that, because you are so deeply immersed in what you are doing. When you draw, you lose all sense of the passage of time and everything happening around you.

When you draw, you enter your own world—the world of your own creation. And there is no better world than the one you have crafted for yourself.

My caricatures are created using a brush pen and charcoal, in black and white.
